The Firebird
In Greek mythology, the phoenix represents triumph over adversity, cyclical regeneration, and rebirth. Only one of these rare creatures can exist at a time, each living for 500 years. As the lifecycle ends, a nest is built and set on fire. From the flames, new life arises, and the process continues. Fenix was born into uncertain and challenging times, and its character is its destiny, breathing fresh energy into the Manchester dining scene.

Fenix is discovered in phases, each defined by aesthetics and ambiance, so your experience will change with the time of day. Relax in the afternoon sun, be enchanted by the mythical golden hour, or embrace the dark of night. At Fenix, each day has three phases—seize your moment.
Phase 1: Bask in the Afternoon Sun
Welcome to a light-filled world of flavours and sensations split over two levels. By day, guests arrive at a ground-floor space illuminated in yellows and light-browns, with hanging barley nodding to age-old agricultural practices that gave Greece the gift of its cuisine. Walls and ceilings are charred by the fires of inspiration, and a staircase sculpted around a 25-foot olive tree ascends to our upper restaurant. There, natural creams, tans, and a double-height cliff face represent the firebird’s legendary rise and rebirth.
Phase 2: Ignite the Flames of the Golden Hour
As the sun sets, evening light takes on new tones. Upon entering the Fenix nest, warm ambers, rich crimsons, and soft pinks create a mesmerising atmosphere on the ground floor, marking that precious time just before nightfall, when the day transforms into something new. Ascend to find the upper restaurant cast in warmer hues, emblematic of new life emerging from what was.
Phase 3: Find Energy in the Dark of Night
As the evening evolves, so does Fenix, completing the cycle. Transformed by twilight, the lower level of the culinary temple is bathed in purples, blues, and crystalline silvers. Evoking the sophisticated nightlife institutions that define the Cyclades after dusk, resident and guest DJs provide the soundtrack as light shows capture the imagination.
